MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024817 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptive luggage transportation and accommodation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive luggage transportation and accommodation device, comprising a cuboidal hollow body 1 having a first portion installed with a platform 2 via an L-shaped rod 3 that is to be aligned underneath chassis of a four-wheeler vehicle, a user-interface for enabling a user to give input commands for securing platform 2 with chassis, plurality of electromagnets 4 for adhering platform 2 with chassis for securing body 1 with vehicle, a weight sensor for detecting presence of the luggage on the conveyer 6, a vertical member 8 via a pair of motorized sliders 9 for translating and positioning the member 8 in proximity to the bottom portion of the body 1 and a motorized door 10 to open for allowing the user to enter within the body 1 and rest over the unit."
