MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003448 A) filed by Bml Munjal University, Gurgaon, Haryana, on Jan. 17, 2024, for 'adaptive food feeding device for pets.'

Inventor(s) include Hirdesh Pharasi; Rohan Dhingra; Anirudhdattu; Vaibhav Arora; and Himanshu Mohanti.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive food feeding device for pets, includes a body 1 positioned on ground and attached with two chambers 2 stored with different types of food, a screen 3 to input type and age of pet, an RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) tag 4 fabricated on collar 5 worn by pet(s) emits waves captured by an RFID receiver 6 positioned on body 1 for detecting pets and accordingly microcontroller accesses database for fetching type and amount of food to be fed, a slider for positioning chamber 2 over a plate 8, a iris lid 10 configured with chamber 2 for dispensing determined amount of food within bowl 9, a camera 11 for detecting pet's height and accordingly regulates translation of plate 8 via sliding unit 12, an arm 14 for positioning bowl 9 in a receptacle 15, an nozzle 16 attached with vessel 17 for dispensing water for washing bowl 9."
