MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013505 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'adaptive feeding assistive device for infants.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive feeding assistive device for infants, comprises of a frame 1 arranged with a pair of looped straps 2 installed on a handle portion of a cradle, a C-shaped clamping unit 3 for holding a bottle filled with fluid, a touch interactive display panel 5 for allowing a user to enter details, an imaging unit 6 for determining positioning of mouth portion of infant, a two-axis sliding arrangement 7 for positioning nipple portion of bottle close to mouth portion of infant, a motorized pivot joint 8 for providing required angular movement to clamping unit 3, a weight sensor for monitoring quantity of fluid that is being fed by infant where in case detected quantity recedes a first threshold value, the microcontroller actuates sliding arrangement 7 and pivot joint 8 to work in collaboration in order to put away bottle from infant in view of feeding infant after evaluated interval."
