MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063606 A) filed by Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute Of Science And Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 20, for 'adaptive edge-ai autonomous kitchen intelligence system.'
Inventor(s) include M. Dharma Teja; Bheema Nitish Guru Patha; Palle Ashmitha; and Gajjala Charitha.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an adaptive Edge-AI based autonomous kitchen intelligence system for real-time ingredient validation, culinary process monitoring, and predictive inventory management in commercial kitchen environments. The system comprises an RFID-based ingredient identification module, a gravimetric sensing assembly, an edge-processing controller, a cloud synchronization framework, and a predictive culinary validation engine. The edge-processing controller performs real-time comparison of ingredient identity and quantity data against predefined recipe intelligence parameters to autonomously detect operational deviations, ingredient mismatches, and quantity inconsistencies. The invention further incorporates multi-sensor fusion, adaptive behavioral learning, predictive stock depletion analytics, and dynamic recipe adaptation mechanisms for improving culinary accuracy and reducing ingredient wastage. The system enables cloud-edge synchronized monitoring across distributed kitchen environments with role-based access control and autonomous inventory synchronization. The invention thereby provides a closed-loop intelligent culinary management architecture for enhancing operational efficiency, consistency, and predictive kitchen automation."
