MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421031834 A) filed by Panasonic Life Solutions India Private Limited, Thane, Maharashtra, on April 22, 2024, for 'adaptive cover plates for modular switch assemblies.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A switch assembly (100) is disclosed. The switch assembly (100) includes a cover plate (102) positioned over the base plate (104). The cover plate (102) includes a first surface (110), a second surface (112), and a third surface (114). The first surface (110) and the third surface (114) are orthogonal to each other, and the second surface (112) is at an inclination with the first surface (110) and the third surface (114). Further, the cover plate (102) includes at least one truncated surface (116) positioned at each corner of the cover plate (102). The at least one truncated surface (116) converge from each corner of the second surface (112) to decrease a visible thickness of the switch assembly (100)."
