MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076724 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'adaptive bicycle pedaling device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive bicycle pedaling device, comprising an elongated body 1 having a first end 2 installed with a clamp for manually securing the body 1 with a crank arm of a bicycle, a pair of L-shaped extendable plates 4 installed with the body 1 for accommodating foot of a user during riding the bicycle, a camera 5 mounted on the body 1 for capturing multiple images of the user's foot, a microphone 6 mapped on the body 1 for enabling a user to enter voice command regarding parking of the bicycle, an elongated member 8 initially stored in a stowed state installed with a second end 3 of the body 1 via a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 9 to park the bicycle and a tactile sensor 12 mapped on the member 8 for detecting the hardness of the ground surface."
