MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641049583 A) filed by Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute Of Science and Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 18, for 'adaptive ai-driven closed-loop dance training system with real-time performance correction.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. M. Kalaimani; Selvin Ebenezer S; L. Leo Prasanth; and Dr. V. Bharathi.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Adaptive AI-Driven Closed-Loop Dance Training System with Real-Time Performance Correction The present invention discloses an adaptive artificial intelligence-driven closed-loop training system for real-time performance evaluation and correction in structured movement disciplines. The system comprises an image acquisition module, an edge processing unit, a multi-layer artificial intelligence engine, a deviation quantification module, an adaptive feedback engine, and a feedback interface. The system captures real-time visual data and processes it using optimized artificial intelligence models to detect posture, gestures, and facial expressions. A deviation quantification module computes spatial, angular, and temporal errors between user performance and reference models to generate structured performance metrics. An adaptive feedback engine dynamically adjusts correction thresholds and provides real-time corrective guidance based on user progression. The system operates in a closed-loop framework enabling iterative performance improvement. Edge-based processing ensures low latency, while optional cloud connectivity supports remote monitoring and long-term analytics."
