MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023049 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'adaptable wheel maintenance device for two-wheelers.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sachin Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable wheel maintenance device for two-wheelers, comprising an elongated body 1 developed to be installed on rim of a wheel of a two-wheeler, motorized clamping unit 2 to acquire a grip over a fixed support on the two-wheeler to affix the body 1 on the two-wheeler, an AI-based imaging unit 3 to capture images in vicinity of the body 1, linear actuator to extend/retract to position an extendable plate 4 in proximity to wheel's tire, plurality of motorized hinge joints 5 to tilt portions of the plate 4 to get established on peripheral portion of tire, plurality of bristles 6 for ribbing the tire while the wheel rotates to remove an dirt/debris from the tire and an electronically controlled nozzle 7 to dispense water over the tire to clean the dirt/debris deposited on the tire."
