MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018220 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'adaptable water route diversion device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable water route diversion device, comprises of a frame having a pair of elongated plates 1, a motorized hinge joint 2 integrated between the plates 1 to tilt the plates 1 in a manner to orient the frame towards the user-specified area, an expandable cylindrical member 3 arranged at the top portion of the frame for acquiring a fit into the pipeline end, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed on the frame to determine dimensions of the pipeline, a drawer arrangement 5 integrated on the plates 1 to extend the plates 1 for reaching the user-specified area, and a pair of electromagnetically powered springs 6 for supporting said plates 1 at a required angle with respect to flow of water."
