MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024180 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'adaptable walking assistive device for toddlers.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable walking assistive device for toddlers, comprises a frame 1 fabricated with a handle 2 accessed by the user to position the frame 1 near to toddler, an imaging unit 3 captures multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1, a pair of telescopically operated rods 4 extend/retract to deploy a first circular ring 5, a second circular ring 6 supports lower limbs of the toddler, a pair of openings accessed by the user to accommodate toddler's feet, a LiDAR sensor determines dimensions of toddler's waist, a motorized pulley arrangement increase/decrease dimensions of ring, a motorized hinge joint provides omnidirectional movement to handle 2, a proximity sensor determines presence of an obstacle in path of toddler."
