MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025570 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'adaptable vehicle climbing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable vehicle climbing assistive device for heighted surface, comprising a platform 1 installed at edge of a heighted surface where a vehicle is to be climbed, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 determines height of surface from ground level, a pair of extendable plates 3 extends for establishing a ramp for vehicle over ground level, an angle sensor monitors angle of any obstacle in between surface and ground level, a motorized hinge joint 4 provides angular movement to plates 3, plurality of motorized wheels 5 moves plates 3 along ground surface, multiple suction cups 6 arranged on plates 3 for adhering end of ramp on ground level, a motion sensor monitors speed of vehicle along ramp, multiple motorized rollers 7 rotates for inducing movement into vehicle, plurality of telescopically operated rods 8 positioning brush 9 in proximity to drain/water deposition to perform cleaning of drain/water deposition."
