MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026128 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable vegetative propagation assistive tool.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable vegetative propagation assistive tool, comprising an elongated U-shaped body 1 having a first and second portion, positioned on ground surface of an agricultural field, a microphone 3 receives input specifications regarding a user-desired operation, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 determines distance of soil surface, a telescopically operated rod 5 extends/retracts for positioning a motorized wheel 6 on surface for assisting user in moving body 1 on surface, a moisture sensor determines a moist part on surface, a V-shaped frame 7 connected to handle 2 by means of an extendable curved flap 8 for penetrating frame 7 in moist part of for positioning an accommodated plant stem held in frame 7, a motorized hinge joint 9 provides opposite converging/diverging movement to two plates for allowing accommodated plant stem to get implanted in moist part."
