MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012914 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'adaptable transportation facilitation device for bicycles.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable transportation facilitation device for bicycles, comprises of a cylindrical frame 1 developed to be positioned at the back portion of the bicycle, a pair of motorized clamping units 2 for acquiring a grip at the back portion of the seat, a touch interactive display unit 3 that is accessed by the user for providing input regarding desires purpose of actuation, a motorized scissor arrangement 4 to position a plate 5 outside the cylindrical frame 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 for capturing multiple images of the user/object, a drawer arrangement 7 to expand/retract the plate 5, and a pair of motorized rollers 8 coiled with a strip 9 to orient the flaps 10 in accordance with user-desired purpose of actuating the device."
