MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073942 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'adaptable tire-health monitoring assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Saurabh Chaitanya; Dr. Sachin Mohal; Rohit Singh; and Shivam Pandey.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable tire-health monitoring assistive devicecomprises a curved platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, multiple suction cups 2 to adhere to the surface for securing the platform 1 on the surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 to detect deposition of dust in between threads of the tire, multiple electronically controlled nozzles 5 to dispense a pressurized flow of water on the deposited dust for cleaning the tire, laser measurement sensor for determining any damaged portions of the threads, a speaker 7 to produce audio signals for notifying the user regarding the damaged threads, a microphone 8 for enabling the user to provide voice commands regarding elevation of the tire, and multiple hydraulic actuator 9 to extend/retract for lifting the accommodated tire, thereby allowing the user to perform a user-desired operation on the tire."
