MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020102 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'adaptable tilling device for ground surfaces.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable tilling device for ground surfaces, comprising a frame 1 having a curved plate 2 installed on a loading arm of an agriculture vehicle, an eyebolt 3 is accessed by a user for engaging frame 1 with loading arm, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 determines distance in between lower portion of plate 2 and a surface, a motorized ball and socket joint 5 provides angular movement to plate 2 with respect to surface, a motorized shaft 6 rotates plurality of circular rings 7 rotate in a manner that multiple curved blades 8 integrated on rings 7 are translated along surface, a tactile sensor determines hardness of surface, an electronically controlled nozzle connected to a water reservoir to sprinkle water on surface, and plurality of motorized hinges orient blades 8 to perform tilling of surface appropriately."
