MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022464 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 22, 2024, for 'adaptable swimming assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable swimming assistive device, comprising an extendable rectangular shaped frame 1 developed to be positioned around edges of a swimming pool, an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 2 for capturing multiple images of the pool, multiple suction units 3 for firmly gripping surface of the edges, a Laser sensor for determining position of a user standing in proximity to the pool, a sliding arrangement configured on the frame 1 for sliding an L-shaped member 4 for allowing the user to stand on the first portion, a weight sensor for determining presence of the use a pair of curved shaped member for gripping feet of the user, an infrared sensor for determining height of the user, multiple ultrasonic sensors for determining depth of the pool, multiple plates 6 to allow the user to enter within the pool in a comfortable manner."
