MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024667 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable stuck key piece extracting device for lock.'

Inventor(s) include Rohit Bansal; and Narendra Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable stuck key piece extracting device for lock, comprising an elongated body 1 having a proximal and distal end, a handle 2 is accessed by a user for acquiring a grip over body 1 in order to position distal end in proximity to a lock into which a key piece is stuck, an imaging unit 3 determines dimension of a hole crafted in lock, multiple thin extendable pins 4, an electromagnet integrated adheres pin with stuck key piece, a multiple motorized hinges 6 engages key piece with pin, a pressure sensor monitors pressure applied by pin on key piece, a heating wire fabricated on pin for partially melting key piece, an angle sensor monitors angle of hole with respect to pin, and a laser measurement sensor monitors distance in between pin and hole."
