MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003709 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'adaptable storage device for four-wheeler vehicles.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable storage device for four-wheeler vehicles, comprising a cuboidal body 1 installed with an L-shaped member 2 for engaging body 1 with a door pocket of a four-wheeler vehicle, a plate 3 is installed within body 1 for segregating body 1 into two compartments, a laser sensor positioned on plate 3 for detecting dimensions of beverage container, a pair of motorized sliders 4 to translate plate 3, gesture detection sensor positioned on body 1 for detecting gestures made by user, a camera 5 mounted on body 1 for capturing multiple images of surroundings, a telescopically operated rod 6 configured between member 2 and body 1 for extending, a motorized hinge 7 configured between member 2 and rod 6 for tilting rod and a pair of motorized sliding units 9 for translating slab 8 in view of covering second compartment, in order to prevent waste from falling out of compartment."
