MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076675 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'adaptable stitching assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable stitching assistive device, comprising a rectangular frame 1 developed to be positioned on a user' finger, a pair of C-shaped plates 2 arranged on lateral ends of the frame 1 by means of multiple pneumatic links for positioning the plates 2 around the user's fingers in view of securing the frame 1 on the user's fingers, a microphone 3 integrated on the frame 1 that is accessed by the user to provide input commands regarding a user-desired operation, a flap 4 integrated with the joint installed on the frame 1 for positioning the flap 4 over the folded portion to securely hold the folded portion of the fabric in place while the user performs a user-desired operation and a cutting blade 5 integrated on the frame 1 for cutting the extra threads, thereby assisting the user in stitching the fabric."
