MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411071008 A) filed by Chandigarh School Of Business, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 19, 2024, for 'adaptable speed regulation system for two-wheelers.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Varsha Grover; Dr. Ashok Kumar; and Shivani Wadhwa.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable speed regulation system for two-wheelers, comprising a body 101 mounted on front portion of a two-wheeler, an imaging unit 102 installed on the body 101 to monitor number of vehicles in vicinity of the two-wheeler, a radar gun 103 installed on the body 101 for determining vehicle's speed, a pad 201 fastened on throttle handle of the two-wheeler via a Velcro strap 202 and carved with a pair of chambers 203 integrated with a motorized wheel 301 via an electromagnetically powered spring 302 to expand/contract to rest the wheel 301 on throttle to grip the throttle, an accelerometer 106 installed on the body 101 for monitoring speed of two-wheeler, a pair of brakes 303 integrated between an axle 304 of the wheel 301 for releasing the wheel 301 and a gyroscope 107 assembled with the body 101 for monitoring angle of the two-wheeler with respect to ground surface."
