MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023096 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'adaptable soil erosion mitigation assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable soil erosion mitigation assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, plurality of wheels 2 move platform 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 generates a 3-dimensional mapping as displayed on a touch interactive display panel 4 for enabling a user to select an area where a meshed sheet is to be installed accordingly wheels 2 positions platform 1 selected area, two telescopically operated rods 5 extend/retract for positioning a motorized roller 6 near selected area, a LiDAR sensor determines dimensions of selected area, accordingly roller 6 unwraps sheet, plurality of robotic grippers 8 grip unwrapped sheet for laying on evaluated portion, a robotic arm 10 positions locking unit on evaluated distances, a hydraulic actuator 11 provide a thumping movement on locking unit penetrating pins in surface, a motorized cutter 13 cuts ends of unwrapped sheet after fixing meshed sheet."
