MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441078326 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 15, 2024, for 'adaptable sitting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable sitting device comprises an elongated body 1 positioned over a ground surface by means of plurality of links 2 configured with a motorized wheel 3 installed with each of the link, provide translation to the body 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed over the body 1 determines height and dimension of waist portion of the user, an extendable ring 5 configured with the body 1 by means of a motorized sliding unit 6 provide translation to the ring, a motorized drawer arrangement is installed in the ring 5 provide appropriate extension and retraction to the ring, an L-shaped telescopic rod 7 installed over the body 1 and actuated by the user to position a curved plate 8 configured with the rod 7 in proximity to user's neck for support."
