MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018765 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'adaptable shielding device for water vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable shielding device for water vehicle, comprises of a platform 101 having multiple suction units 102 arranged beneath the platform 101 to affix the platform 101 with deck of a boat, a weather sensing module installed over the platform 101 to detect sunlight intensity and rain in the surroundings, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 103 synced with a ultrasonic sensor for detecting average height of the people, a pair of telescopic poles 104 integrated over the platform 101 to extend and position an extendable plate 105 to provide shield to the people, an anemometer 107 installed over the platform 101 to monitor wind speed along with direction of the wind, and a motorized ball and socket joint 108 installed between each of the plate 105 and pole to provide an aerodynamic shape to the plates 105 to reduce drag faced by the boat."
