MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024133 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'adaptable roof uninstallation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable roof uninstallation device, comprising an elongated body 1 having a proximal portion 2 and a distal portion, handle 4 to acquire grip over the body 1 to position the distal portion 3near a roof plate which is to be removed, an AI-based imaging unit 6 to capture images in vicinity of the body 1, plurality of motorized gripper to position suction cup 8 over adjacent plates to acquire grip over the adjacent plates, robotic arm 9 to position a wrench 10 over a nut of a fastener, multiple extendable pins 11 for acquiring a grip over the nut and a speaker 12 integrated on the body 1 to produce audio notification for a user to apply a force on the body 1."
