MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024717 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable refurbishing assistive device for wooden objects.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable refurbishing assistive device for wooden objects comprises a body 1 configured with plurality of suction cups 2 for securing the body 1, a pair of plates 3 enables a user to accommodate wooden pieces, a chamber 4 integrated in the body 1 stores an adhesive solution, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 determines distance between the pieces and a motorized roller integrated in the chamber 4, a pair of motorized sliding units integrated in between the roller and the chamber 4 positions the rollers in proximity to the pieces, a pair of guiding rail arrangement integrated on one of the plate 11 to displace the first piece towards the second piece, a telescopically operated rod 10 positions a flap 9, a robotic link integrated on the body 1 positions a Peltier unit, and a buffing pad bifurcated on the link provides a scrubbing movement."
