MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022856 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'adaptable rebar column construction device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable rebar column construction device comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface, an imaging unit 2 arranged on platform 1 to determine positioning of rebars in respect of panel, a clamps 3 integrated on each corners of first panel to acquire a grip on each of rebars at corners, plurality of wheels embedded on inner periphery of clamps 3 for moving gripped rebars, a motorized clippers 4 embedded on corners of second panel for acquiring a grip rebars, a roller 6 installed on platform 1 for unwrapping a steel wire, a cutting blade 5 in embedded in proximity to roller 6, a robotic arm 7 mounted on platform 1, a welding unit 8 is arranged on platform 1 to weld ends of wire around the rebars."
