MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018007 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 28, for 'adaptable reading assistive device for measuring scales.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sibun Parida.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable reading assistive device for measuring scales, comprises of a pair of frame 101 mounted on a measuring scale, an ultrasonic sensor is embedded determining thickness of the scale, U-shaped plates 102 arranged underneath the frame 101 for increasing/decreasing dimensions of the plates 102 to position the plates 102, suction cups 103 arranged on inner periphery of the plates 102 for in securing the frame 101 onto the scale, a convex mirror is installed on the frame 101 by means of a pair of telescopically operated L-shaped for extending to deploy the mirror over the scale, an imaging unit 105 integrated in the frame 101 for capturing images of the frame 101, a pair of motorized sliding units 106 installed in between the frame 101 and associated links 104, thereby facilitating effortless scale reading with adjustable orientation."
