According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable reading assistive device, comprising a frame 1 positioned on a fixed surface, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 2 underneath frame 1 for maintaining an upright position of frame 1, a flap 3 arranged at base of rod 2 for supporting frame 1 on surface, an imaging unit 4 in sync with an ultrasonic sensor integrated on frame 1 to determine dimensions of a book, a plate 5 arranged in frame 1 with a drawer arrangement to extend/retract for allowing proper accommodation of book on plate 5, multiple clamping units 6 integrated on peripheral portion of frame 1 to acquire a grip on accommodated book for securing book on frame 1, an angle sensor for monitoring angle of frame 1 with respect to user and an eye gaze detection sensor for monitoring eye movements of the user with respect to the frame 1."
