MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025455 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adaptable raised perforated sheet manufacturing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable raised perforated sheet manufacturing assistive device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, plurality of suction cups 7 are arranged underneath platform 1 to affixed the platform 1, a display panel 3 installed on platform 1 for user input, an imaging unit 2 installed on platform 1 to determine dimensions of sheet, a cutter 6 integrated on platform 1 to cut metallic sheets, a roller 5 arranged on platform 1 by means of a robotic link to rotate for straightening sheets, a robotic arm 4 installed on platform 1 for positioning sheet on a motorized sliding unit 8, a circular disc 10 having punching bits for punching a user-specified cavity in sheet, a two-axis motorized sliding unit 8 integrated in between ceiling portion and pole for translating punching unit at evaluated distances."
