MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017911 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'adaptable railway bridge installation system.'
Inventor(s) include Kul Bhushan Anand.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable railway bridge installation system, comprises of a pair of extendable plates 1 installed on concrete sides of a railway track, an artificial intelligence-based primary imaging unit 2 to detect distance of another platform, a processing unit to fetch details regarding time schedule of trains, a crane bar arranged on each plates 1 to extend and form a bridge-like structure over track, plurality of electromagnetic locking units 4 integrated with ends of each plates 1 to form the structure, multiple telescopically operated bars 3 to form boundary on the structure, a second imaging unit to detect presence of wheelchair over structure, a robotic arm 8 to grip and allow wheelchair to cross the structure and a speaker 5 to notify the people to vacant the structure and allow train to cross the track at the scheduled time."
