MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024650 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable pipe refurbishing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Shweta Siwas; and Tikshata Wamborkar.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable pipe refurbishing assistive device, comprises of the a platform 1 design to be positioned on a fixed surface, plurality of suction cups 2 to adhere on surface for securing the platform 1 on surface, plurality of U-shaped slots 3 for positioning a metallic pipe on the slots, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 for capturing multiple images of the platform 1, a drawer arrangement 4 to extend/retract for increasing/decreasing dimensions of the slot, air compressor 6 for providing pressurized air that is passed through the pipe, a motorized winch coiled 7 with a metallic wire for unwrapping/wrapping wire on cavity of pipes, a robotic arm 8 for gripping of a heating torch 10, a multi-sectioned chamber 9 for storing multiple components, a robotic gripper 12 for gripping of a heating torch 10, a circular threaded frame 11 for crafting a suitable thread over filled cavity."
