MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024805 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable pedicure assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Prerna Tikku; Dr. Geetika Sharma; Vrinda; and Lakshay Narula.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable pedicure assistive device, comprises of a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a seating unit 2 installed on the platform 1 that is accessed by a user to get accommodated on the platform 1, a microphone is integrated on the platform 1 for enabling the user to provide input voice commands regarding a posture to be maintained while sitting on the seating unit, a touch interactive display panel installed on the seating unit 2 for enabling a user to provide input specifications regarding a user-desired pedicure operation to be performed, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the platform 1 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the platform 1, to determine deposition of callus on the user's feet."
