MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076684 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'adaptable pavement laying assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable pavement laying assistive device, comprises of a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 is integrated in the platform 1 to generate a 3-dimensional mapping of surroundings of the platform 1, a touch interactive display panel 3 integrated on the platform 1 to select an area on the map where a pavement is to be laid, a trowel 4 is arranged on the platform 1 via a robotic gripper to position the trowel 4, a robotic arm is installed on the platform 1 for acquiring a grip of a stone, a motorized cutter is installed on the platform 1 via a hydraulically operated rod for positioning the cutter."
