MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004721 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'adaptable overhead electrical wires supporting device.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable overhead electrical wires supporting device, comprises of a frame 1 having an expandable disc 7 installed on electrical poles to support overhead electrical wires, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the frame 1 to detect thickness of the wires, a rain detection sensor 4 integrated on the frame 1 to detect presence of rainfall in surrounding of the disc 7, a canopy arrangement 5 assembled on the frame 1 to provide a covering over the disc 7 for preventing contact of rainwater on the disc 7, a current leakage detection sensor 6 integrated on the frame 1 to detect leakage of current and a speaker 2 arranged on the frame 1 to alert people regarding the leaked current."
