MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022896 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 23, 2024, for 'adaptable object painting assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable object painting assistive device, comprising a handheld body 1 having first portion 2 and a second portion 3, a handle 4 for acquiring a grip over the body 1, an AI-based imaging unit 5 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the body 1 to generate a 3-dimesnionsal mapping of an object, a touch interactive display panel 6 for displaying captured images, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 7 to extend/retract to position a sensing module in contact with the object, an air blower 8 to blow dry the object, a multi-sectioned chamber 9 for storing different color paints, a pump for pumping user-desired color paint from the chamber 9 towards the second portion 3, an iris based electronically controlled nozzle 10 for dispensing the pumped paint onto user-specified portion and a speaker 11 to notify the user to correctly position the body 1 with respect to the object."
