MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024159 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'adaptable necktie wearing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable necktie wearing assistive device comprising, rectangular frame 1 developed to be installed on a vertical support, multiple suction cups 2 are positioned underneath frame 1 to adhere to surface of vertical support for securing frame 1 on vertical support, multiple extendable L-shaped rods 3 positioned on frame 1 for allowing user to accommodate multiple neckties on rods 3 for storing neckties on frame, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 mounted on frame 1 to determine dimensions of accommodated necktie, drawer arrangement 5 integrated in frame 1 that is actuated by microcontroller to increase/decrease dimensions of frame, touch interactive display panel 6 is installed on frame 1 for enabling a user to provide input specifications regarding user-desired necktie knot, pair of robotic arms 7 installed on frame 1 to acquire grip of user-specified necktie from rods 3 for providing required movement to gripped necktie for attaining a user-specified knot."
