MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025532 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adaptable lens covering assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Mandeep Kaur; Dr. Shweta Lamba; Dr. Ranjan Sariyal; Aryan; and Sahib.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable lens covering assistive device, comprising a cylindrical frame 1 positioned in proximity to a lens of a camera, an imaging unit 2 integrated in the frame 1 to determine dimensions of lens, a pulley arrangement 3 integrated with the frame 1 for allowing accommodation of the frame 1 on lens properly, an inflatable member 5 integrated on a pair of rods 4 arranged on the frame 1 to get inflated for adhering to upper and lower portions of the lens for securing the frame 1 on the lens, a clamp 7 integrated on the frame 1 by means of a robotic link 6 to hold the camera for securing the frame 1 on camera, a microphone integrated on the frame 1 for receiving frame 1 removing command, a hinge joint 8 arranged with the link 6 for orienting the frame 1 away from lens to free the lens."
