MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026079 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable iron-burn protection assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rupinder Kaur Sodhi; Dr. Deepika Sharma; Mandeep Kaur; and Dimpal.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable iron-burn protection assistive device, comprising a triangular wearable body 1 developed to be worn by a user on the user's hands, cushioned layer 2 for preventing burns on the user's hands while ironing clothes, cylindrical member 3 for getting arranged on the user's wrist, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit captures multiple images in vicinity of the body 1, respectively to determine position of an iron in proximity to the user's hands, drawer arrangement 4 for increasing/decreasing dimensions of the member 3,, chamber for storing water, electronically controlled nozzles 5 for dispensing water on the clothes for softening the fabric, and a speaker 6 notifying the user to regulate the temperature of iron."
