MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026072 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable hydration tracking assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Saurabh Sharma; Dr. Jyoti Singh; and Harshpreet Singh Saluja.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable hydration tracking assistive device, comprising a cylindrical hollow frame 1 developed to be positioned in proximity to a beaker filled with water, an imaging unit 5 installed on frame 1 to determine dimensions of beaker, a motorized pulley arrangement 4 integrated in frame 1 to increase/decrease dimensions of frame 1, plurality of motorized pop-out balls 3 are arranged on upper and lower peripheries of frame 1 for properly accommodating frame 1 over beaker, an user-interface installed on a computing unit for enabling a user to provide input specifications regarding user's water consumption, plurality of telescopically operated rods 2 integrated in frame 1 to cover portion of beaker until which water is filled, plurality of LED 6 installed on frame 1 to emit light of varying colors depending upon water level, a Peltier unit 7 is integrated in frame 1 for maintaining temperature of water in beaker."
