MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026167 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable head covering device.'
Inventor(s) include Mridul; Dhruv Joshi; Sandeep Kumar; and Somprabh Dubey.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable head covering device comprises a wearable dome-shaped component 1 configured with ultrasonic sensor monitors dimensions of the user's head portion, an extendable strap 2 integrated at the component 1, a telescopically operated rod 3 integrated on lateral sides of the strap 2 interlocks the strap 2, a curved member 4 arranged on front portion of the component 1 for preventing any intense light reflection on the user's eye, a weather sensing module is integrated on the component 1 for monitoring intensity of light in surrounding, plurality of flaps 5 arranged on peripheral portion of the component 1, each by means of a motorized hinge joint 6 deploy the flaps 5, an angle sensor integrated on the component 1 monitoring angle of light/rain being incident on the component 1, and multiple motorized hinges 7 integrated on outer portion of the flaps 5 to tilt portions of the flaps 5."
