MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018761 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'adaptable hair cutting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rosysmita Bikram Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable hair cutting assistive device, comprising a frame 101 with a circular plate 102 positioned on user's head, the plate 102 is equipped with imaging unit 103 integrated capturing images to determine head structure, pair of straps 104 integrated at the back of the plate 102 for securing the frame 101 on user's chin, plurality of links 105 assembled in a criss-cross manner on plate 102 facilitate hair protrusion, a sliding unit 106 integrated on plate 102 for optimal hair protrusion, a pair of robotic arms 107 attached to the periphery of plate 102 engage with the bows of a scissor, a motorized ball and socket joint 108 between the plate 102 and robotic arms 107 provides multi-axis rotational movement for precise cutting and motorized clippers 109 on the links 105 assist in hair protrusion."
