MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024706 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable groove formation device for pipes.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rohit Kumar Singhal; and Dr. Karan Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable groove formation device for pipes, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, inlet 2 accessed by user to insert pipe inside body 1, touch interactive display panel 3 accessed by user to prove input regarding length of the pipe from where pipe is to bent, meshed platform 4 for accommodating inserted pipe inside the body 1, motorized rollers 5 to rotate for passing the pipe inside the body 1, AI based imaging unit 6 for determining dimensions of inserted pipe along with length of the pipe passed inside, extendable link 8 to extend for positioning curved members 7 towards outlet 10 for applying optimum force on heated rod 12 at a length, telescopic bar 11 to extend in downward direction for forcing an inverted U-shaped unit 9 on top portion of the pipe to complete a circular groove on the pipe."
