MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024935 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable grilling assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable grilling assistive device, comprising a rectangular frame 1 accessed by a user to positon the body in proximity to a fixed surface of a cooking platform, a pair of telescopically operated rods 2 installed on the frame 1 for enabling a user to accommodate multiple eatables over the rods 2, an imaging unit 3 installed on the frame 1 to determine dimensions of the eatables inserted on each of the rod, a motorized sliding unit 4 integrated in between the frame 1 and each of the rod to translate the rods 2 in opposite directions for increasing/decreasing gap in between the rods 2, plurality of circular discs 5 arranged on the rods 2 for separating each of the inserted eatable at an appropriate distance and a speaker 6 installed on the platform to produce audio signals for notifying the user to remove the frame 1 from the grill."
