MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026130 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable grilling assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajeev R Mishra; Dr. Vikesh Kahysp; Mandeep; Madan; Tanish; and Rajinder Minhas.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable grilling assistive device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a grill, motorized rollers 2 horizontally arranged on the platform 1, in a manner that gaps between the rollers 2 are accessed by a user to accommodate an eatable that is to be roasted, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images of the platform 1 to determine alignment of the accommodated eatables with the platform 1, robotic arm 5 by means of a motorized sliding unit 6 to provide translation to arm 5 for positioning arm 5 in proximity to one of the rollers 2, telescopically operated L-shaped rod 8 to extend/retract for positioning plates 7 in between spaces on the grill, pop-out balls 9 rotate for moving the platform 1 over the grill and the rollers 2 rotate for inducing a rotational movement to the accommodated eatables."
