MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024038 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'adaptable goods securing assistive device for vehicle's trunk.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable goods securing assistive device for vehicle's trunk, comprising a L-shaped frame 1 having first 2 and second portion 3 accessed by user to position the frame 1 on a fixed surface of trunk of vehicle, plurality of s suction cups 4 arranged underneath first portion 2 of frame 1 to adhere to surface around object, a microphone 5 is integrated in the frame 1 for enabling the user to activate/deactivate the device, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 to determine dimensions of object, a motorized roller 7 coiled with a looped strap 8 to rotate for unwrapping looped strap 8 that is accessed by user to position strap 8 around accommodated object and pair of extendable plates 9 integrated on lateral ends of the second portion 3 by means of motorized hinge joints 10 to provide converging/diverging movement to plates 9 for tiling the plates 9."
