MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025394 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adaptable golf-club repairing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable golf-club repairing assistive device comprises of a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, multiple suction to adhere to the surface for securing the platform 1 on surface, a slot 9 for enabling a user to accommodate a damaged golf club on the slot 9, an imaging unit 3 to determine position of golf club, a robotic arm 4 to acquire a grip of shaft of the golf club for applying a pulling force on the shaft in view of detecting a loose club head on golf club, a robotic link 5 to extend or retract for getting positioned in proximity to lower end of the shaft as well as the club head, and a pair of circular rings 8 to provide a controlled rotating movement to the rings 8 for a thread on the shaft as well as in the club head."
