MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025513 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adaptable golf-balls retrieving assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Shailee Thakur; Kirti Sharma; and Ayush Jain.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable golf-balls retrieving assistive device, comprises of a cylindrical frame 1 having a first and second portion, plurality of suction cups 2 for adhering to the surface of the pit, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1, for capturing and processing multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1, plurality of LED's lights 5 for illuminating light in view of increasing visibility to a user, a count proximity sensor to determine count of the hit balls in the pit during the game, a circular ring 7 arranged by means of a pair of electromagnetic springs 8 to create an optimum magnetic field for getting retracted."
