MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020382 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'adaptable glass cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Premananda Pradhan.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable glass cutting device, comprises of a platform 101 accessed by a user for accommodating a glass slab on the platform 101 which is to be cut, a touch interactive display panel 102 for selecting pattern and dimensions into which the accommodated glass slab is to be cut, an imaging unit 103 to determine dimensions of the accommodated slab, a projector 104 mounted on the platform 101 to project a virtual image depicting the user-selected pattern on the slab, multiple telescopically operated L-shaped bars 105 are arranged on periphery of the platform 101, each integrated with a suction cup 106 to acquire a grip on ends of the accommodated slab, and a vertical support 107 and installed with a motorized dual axis slider 108 for suspending a circular glass cutter 109 and motorized glass for cutting drill 110 from the slider 108 to perform cutting of the slab."
