MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019737 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'adaptable garment display device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Jaswant Saini; and Bhawna Saraswat.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable garment display device, comprises of a platform 1 developed to be installed on a ground surface, a frame 2 replicating structure of a human body structure is accessed by a shopkeeper to showcase a garment to be sold by putting on the garment on the structure, an imaging unit 3 for determining kind of garment based on which an inbuilt microcontroller evaluates a required body structure for putting on garment, a telescopically operated rod 4 for altering height of structure as required for putting on garment, multiple inflatable bags 5 for forming an appropriate shape of structure required for putting on garment, a dust sensor for detecting presence of dust on garment or structure, multiple air blowers 6 for blowing air in order to remove dust on garment, multiple LEDs (light emitting diodes) 7 for focusing light on garment in order to allow proper showcasing of garment."
