MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025396 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adaptable four-wheeler sheltering device.'
Inventor(s) include Nishant Ranjan.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable four-wheeler sheltering device comprises a frame 1 having a panel 2 developed to be installed on roof of a four-wheeler, plurality of mounts 3 for affixing the frame 1 on the four-wheeler's roof with plurality of electromagnetically powered suction units 10, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 to determine dimensions of the four-wheeler's roof, motorized sliding to translate the mounts 3 to a required position, a temperature sensor for monitoring real time temperature of surrounding, plurality of telescopically operated horizontal and vertical links 6 for covering entire roof of the four-wheeler, a proximity sensor for detecting presence of any object in vicinity of the frame 1 and a laser measurement sensor for determining area of the four-wheeler's roof."
